Originally from Marion, Indiana, he began rhyming at 14 and moved to New York at 19, quickly rising in the hip hop scene. He won the 1993 New Music Seminar and signed with Elektra Records, releasing his single “Buddha Blessed It.” A longtime host of the Rock the Bells Festival (2004–2014), Supernatural is celebrated for his ability to create spontaneous, lyrical brilliance—calling freestyle “the highest form of expression through one’s self.”
